2.1 Drop Rate Test

The Korean devs are testing the drop rates on various instances and bosses, and they are posting their results. First they ran the instance 20 times and killing all the bosses except the ranked boss. Then they killed the rank S through C bosses 20 times each. Here were their results:

That's what they are getting on the 2.1 Test Server. The PTS already has SIGNIFICANTLY increased drop rates. On regular servers you will still be lucky to see an S rank drop an Eternal in 20-30 runs. An increase is an increase though.

No, it's not. This was a test run by the devs under the conditions of a live server.

They did 20 runs of Fire Temple, unlike DP where they killed every boss 20 times.

Lava Gatneri spawned 7 times, dropped 3 gold weapons.
Black Smoke Asparn spawned 8 times, dropped 1 gold weapon.
Kromede the Corrupt spawned 17 times, dropped 5 gold weapons, 7 blue weapons.
Vile Judge Kromede spawned 3 times, dropped 2 gold weapons, 2 blue weapons.

Total after 20 runs: 11 gold weapons, 9 blue weapons.

Next test will be the Eltnen and Morheim world bosses on Thursday.

Interesting, yet I have to wonder how such test results compare to real player experience.
I did get tome on an DP A rank run, and atmach earring, both very nice drops and both early on. More than 50 runs later and not one piece of sorc gold armour drop, I gave up running DP. I did see others get some golds though, and usually made enough from white or green drops to cover entry. Its still been ages since l've run it as it became a long disappointing grind. Maybe just my bad luck. lol

Same with FT, run it now on 3 characters, god knows how many times and never had a gold drop. Did get blue warhammer of the judge on cleric last week though. The only gold l've seen drop in there was a bow, once.

Same with NTC, 6 characters, nothing. Did see a blue dagger drop.

Did get gold key drop from Kaliga in KT last week though on cleric. Now has new shield!

Can't wait to see results for Inggison mobs. Nashuma already has a pretty good drop rate in my opinion. Considering it's dropped 2 eternals for us.
